Pi Mai : I’m here at the Blue Boar Bar & Restaurant to interview its owner. I met Gavin and his lovely wife Alisia two of the most welcoming, affable publicans that one could ever hope to meet.

Gavin : About a year and a half ago. I’ve known Alisa a long time and after covid we decided to get married, traveled, then acquired Blue Boar

Gavin : It was already the name when I acquired Blue Boar and decided to keep the name as it is a well-known British Pub name.

Gavin : Ah, looking a few places, this place got short-listed and I decided to come here. I suppose I came here was the number of expats in the area and the only Aussie Bar on the soi and we’re the only one with a pool table and bar.

Pi Mai : What is unique about Blue Boar?

Gavin : We’re probably the only family-friendly bar in the area. We’ve got tones of costumers with a great menu with Thai food, as you’ve tasted. We also have a great menu with pizza, burgers and Aussie steaks and pies. Every day we have a menu special and a Sunday roast for only 99 Baht, with a purchase of one drink. Hopefully you’ll buy two.

Gavin : I’ve only had one season in the league (BAD Bangkok Amateur Darts League ) and I’ve really enjoyed connecting with all the players. We’re an up-and-coming team, now in our second season. Watch us as we climb upward.
